Job Title: Territory Manager – Sales
Reporting line: Head – Consumer & Institutional Sales
Location:
Base office will be New Delhi, however extensive travel will be expected in the region/territory assigned to the Manager. The company shall add/remove locations based on the individual’s capability and company’s requirements.
Background:
The Territory Manager – Sales reports to the Head – Consumer & Institutional Sales and contributes by effectively managing a team of Sales Executives, create sales channel and generating business for the company.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Territory Manager – Sales performs a wide range of duties including (but not limited to) the following:
– Be responsible for Sales in Rural areas through direct contact with the rural population/ channel partners
– Building and managing his rural sales team
– Defining KRA/metrics/targets for his team and monitoring their performance
– Responsible for achievement of targets assigned to him
– Generate leads and convert them into sales
– Responsible for team’s target allocation and achievements
– Meeting farmers/ group of farmers and sharing the system benefits with them
– Meeting bank managers and other stake holders for facilitation of system sales
– Execute various marketing plans as planned by the head of department
– Proposal making
– Competition mapping and analysis
– Ensure customer satisfaction
– Network generation and maintenance
– Coordination with internal teams
– Interaction and relation building with Bankers in various districts and villages
– Ensure payment receipt
– MIS reporting
Qualifications & Experience:
a. Education:
– The candidate should at least have a graduate degree preferably in Agriculture/ Economics/Science.
– MBA in Agri Business Management will be preferred
b. Experience:
5-8 years of channel sales experience especially in rural areas.
c. Knowledge, skills and abilities:
– Experience in sales
– Integrity is of utmost importance
– Individual should own a motorbike
– Should be willing to travel and stay in rural areas
– Self confident and reliant person
– Ability to use theoretical knowledge into practical application
– Ability to accept challenges and showcase performance
– Strong analytical skills to drive channel performance and drive profitability
– The individual should be enterprising
– Ability to work in a team environment.
– Good IT skills to include wide experience of word documents, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint
– Good written and oral communications skills.
